Hosting a regatta is a great fundraising activity for your club. It
also provides clubs within the zone the opportunity to race in a variety
of locations.
Applying to Host a Regatta
-
To host a regatta you must apply to the AOCRA NSW Secretary with a proposed
date (or provide a few dates as there may be multiple clubs requesting
the same dates).
-
The Regatta Calendar is usually developed at the end of the preceding season
- the AOCRA NSW Secretary will advise clubs when the calendar is being
developed.
-
All regatta dates must be formally approved by the AOCRA NSW committee
and AOCRA Inc. before being added to the official AOCRA NSW Zone Regatta
Calendar.
Responsibilities for Hosting a Regatta
There are important responsibilities that clubs take on when hosting
a regatta.
-
All clubs must comply with the rules and regulations of hosting a regatta
and complete the "Regatta Information Form" and "Hosting a Regatta Contract"
to ensure safety and insurance obligations are met.
-
A draft Regatta Invitation will soon be attached to help you to develop your
own invitiation. It will outline the minimum information you need to include.
You will need to provide an electronic version of your Regatta Invitation
to the AOCRA NSW Secretary for inclusion on the website.
